Air Conditioning Compressor and Condenser Hose Replacement - 2.0L Diesel LNP

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  3. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  4. Remove the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .

  6. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) from refrigerant hose (2).
  7. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (3) from A/C condenser (4).

  9. Remove A/C compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) from A/C compressor (2).
  10. Remove air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (3).

Installation Procedure

    Note: Use NEW O-ring seals. Refer to Air Conditioning O-Ring Seal Replacement .

  1. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose (3).
  2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose bolt (1) to A/C compressor (2) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

  5. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (3) to A/C condenser (4) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  6. Install air conditioning compressor and condenser hose nut (1) to refrigerant hose (2) and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  7. Install the headlamp. Refer to Headlamp Replacement .
  8. Install front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement .
  9. Evacuate and charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  10. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
