Fuel Injector Installation

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Note: Use both sides of the EN-47632 cleaning tool (1), one for loosing the dirt and the other to remove the dirt.

1. Clean the sealing surfaces, using the EN-47632 cleaning tool .

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




2. Install the 4 camshaft cover retaining bolts. Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
3. Remove the 4 EN-48559 protective caps .
4. Install the 4 fuel injectors (1).
5. Install the 4 fuel injector brackets (3).
6. Install the 4 NEW fuel injector bracket retaining bolts (2) and tighten to 14 N·m + 110° (10 lb ft) + 110°.
