Engine Flywheel Installation

Special Tools

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools

1. Install the EN-652 fixing tool in order to fix the engine flywheel.
2. Recut the 8 threads in the crankshaft.



3. Install the engine flywheel (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Caution: Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Note: Service may offer bolts that are not microencapsulated. If this is the case apply thread lock agent to the bolt. If fastener is micro-encapsulated, install a NEW engine flywheel bolt. DO NOT reuse the old bolt.

4. Install the 8 NEW engine flywheel bolts (2) and tighten in the following order:

4.1.	Tighten the bolts to 20 N·m(15 lb ft).

4.2.	Tighten to additional 90 °, use the EN-470-B torque angle sensor .

5. Remove the EN-652 fixing tool.
