Did you perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Place the hazard lamp switch to the ON position.

Do the hazard flashers operate correctly?

Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections

Go to Step 3

1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Operate the left and right indicators.

Does at least one left and one right indicator lamp operate correctly, including the turn indicators?

Go to Step 4

Go to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle

1. Turn ON the hazard switch.
2. Back probe the indicator/hazard module signal circuit at the hazard switch connector with a test light that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp flash ON and OFF?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 5

1. Turn ON the hazard switch.
2. With the hazard switch ON, back probe the indicator/hazard relay control circuit at the hazard switch connector with a test light that is connected to a good ground.

Does the test lamp illuminate?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 7

Test the indicator/hazard module signal circuit of the hazard switch for an open or high resistance between S200 and the hazard switch

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 9

Test the battery positive voltage circuit of the hazard switch for an open, high resistance or a short to ground.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 12

Inspect for poor connections at the wiring harness plug of the hazard switch.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 10

Inspect for poor connections at the wiring harness plug of the indicator relay.

Did you find and correct the condition?

Go to Step 12

Go to Step 11

Replace the hazard switch.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 12

Replace the indicator relay.

Did you complete the replacement?

Go to Step 12

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
