The electronic brake control module (EBCM) is the control centre for the ABS-TCS/ESP. The programming and calibration needed by the EBCM to control the operation of the ABS-TCS/ESP are stored in the EBCM's read only memory (ROM). The EBCM constantly performs a self test that detects and isolates ABS-TCS/ESP faults.
The ignition is ON.
The EBCM has not undergone the programming procedure.
• | The EBCM disables the ABS-TCS/ESP for the duration of the ignition cycle. |
• | One or all of the following warning indicators may activate: |
- | ABS-TCS warning indicator |
- | ABS-TCS warning display |
- | ESP warning display |
- | Brake failure indicator |
- | Trac-off warning display |
A current DTC will clear when the EBCM has undergone the setup procedure.
A newly replaced EBCM will set DTC C0569 on its initial ignition ON cycle.
