Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement

Removal Procedure

    Warning : Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Disconnect the connector of the rear object sensor, if equipped.

  4. Remove the bolts on the rear wheelhouse liner.

  6. Remove the rear lower fascia retainers.
  7. Remove the fascia.

  9. Remove the tail lamps. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement : Long Body T79  → Short Body .
  10. Remove the upper fascia screws and retainers.

  12. Remove the rear bumper fascia from the rear quarter panel by pulling the side of the fascia outward.
  13. Remove the rear bumper fascia from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear bumper fascia to the vehicle.
  2. Install the side of the rear bumper fascia to the rear quarter panel.
  3. Caution : Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the upper fascia screws and retainers. Tighten the rear upper fascia screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
  5. Install the tail lamps. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement : Long Body T79 → Short Body

  7. Install the lower fascia retainers.

  8. 1814122
  9. Install the bolts on the rear wheelhouse liner and tighten to 4 N·m (36 lb in).

  11. Connect the connector of the rear object sensor, if equipped.
  12. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
