Blower Motor Control Module Replacement
Removal Procedure
Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.
Note: The left-hand drive is shown. The right-hand drive is similar.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Remove the instrument panel storage compartment. Refer to
Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement : Long Body → Short Body .
- Disconnect the electrical connector at the resistor.
- Remove the screws from the resistor.
- Remove the resistor from the A/C module by gently pulling the resistor downward.
Installation Procedure
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the new resistor into the heater/air distributor case assembly with the screws and tighten to 6 N·m (53 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector at the resistor.
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Confirm the correct performance of the blower.
- Install the instrument panel storage compartment. Refer to
Instrument Panel Compartment Replacement : Long Body → Short Body .
