High Mount Brake lamp Replacement - Short Body

1. Remove the tailgate upper applique. Refer to Tailgate Upper Applique Replacement : Short Body  → Long Body .
2. Invert the tailgate upper applique and place on a clean dry, protected surface.



3. Remove the tailgate upper applique to high mounted brake lamp screws (1).
4. Disengage the washer hose from the tailgate upper applique.
5. Disengage the electrical connector (2) from the tailgate upper applique bracket.
6. Lift the high mounted brake lamp (3) from the tailgate upper applique.



7. Remove the washer nozzle screws (1).
8. Remove the rear washer nozzles (3) from the high mounted brake lamp (4) assembly.
9. Remove the high mounted brake lamp assembly (4).

1. Install the washer nozzles (3) into the rear high mounted brake lamp assembly (4).
2. Install the rear window washer nozzle screws (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)




3. Position the high mounted brake lamp (3) to the tailgate upper applique bracket.
4. Install the screws (1) to secure the high mounted brake lamp (3) to the tailgate upper applique bracket. Tighten the screws 2 N·m (18 lb in).
5. Position and secure the high mounted brake lamp electrical connector (2).
6. Secure the washer hose to the tailgate upper applique.
7. Install the tailgate upper applique. Refer to Tailgate Upper Applique Replacement : Short Body  → Long Body .
