Power Brake Booster Vacuum Check Valve and Hose Replacement — RHD 2.4L
Removal Procedure
- With the engine OFF, apply and release the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal becomes firm to deplete the power vacuum brake booster vacuum reserve.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement : LE5 or LE9 .
- Remove the power brake booster vacuum check valve (1) and hose from the vacuum power brake booster.
- Release the spring clamp and remove the power brake booster vacuum hose (1) from the intake manifold vacuum port.
- Release the power brake booster vacuum hose from the routing clips.
- Remove the power brake booster vacuum hose and check valve assembly.
Installation Procedure
- Install the power brake booster vacuum hose and check valve assembly.
Note: A small amount of methylated spirit may be used to ease assembly. Do not use soap.
- Install the power brake booster vacuum hose (1) to the intake manifold vacuum port and secure the spring clamp.
- Install the power brake booster vacuum hose to the routing clips.

- Install the power brake booster vacuum check valve (1) and hose to the vacuum power brake booster.
- Install the power brake booster vacuum hose to the routing clips.
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to
Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement : LE5 or LE9 .
