Power Brake Booster Vacuum Check Valve and Hose Replacement — RHD 3.0L

1. With the engine OFF, apply and release the brake pedal several times until the brake pedal becomes firm to deplete the power vacuum brake booster vacuum reserve.
2. Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
3. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .



4. Disconnect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector, if equipped.
5. Remove the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) and vacuum hose assembly from the power vacuum brake booster.



6. Release the spring clamp (1) and disconnect the power vacuum brake booster vacuum hose from the intake manifold fitting.



7. Disconnect the power vacuum brake booster vacuum hose quick connect (1) from the power brake booster pump.
8. Remove the power brake booster vacuum check valve and hose assembly.

1. Connect the power vacuum brake booster vacuum hose quick connect (1) to the power brake booster pump.




Note: A small amount of methylated spirit may be used to ease assembly. Do not use soap.

2. Install the power vacuum brake booster vacuum hose to the intake manifold fitting and secure the spring clamp (1).

3. Install the power brake booster vacuum sensor (1) and vacuum hose assembly to the power vacuum brake booster.
4. Connect the power brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector, if equipped.
5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
6. Install the inlet manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
