Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .

Inflatable Restraint Instrument Panel Module Disable Switch Assembly

Procedure

1. Use a small flat bladed tool to aid in the removal of the switch from the instrument panel side trim panel.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
