Fuel Tank Filler Vent Hose Replacement

Warning: Do not allow smoking or the use of naked flames in the area where work on the fuel or EVAP system is taking place. Anytime work is being done on the fuel system, disconnect the negative battery cable, except for those tests where battery voltage is required.

1. Remove the left rear wheel and tyre. Refer to Tyre and Wheel Removal and Installation .
2. Remove the left rear wheelhouse liner panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .



3. Remove the fuel filler pipe protector nuts (1) and protector (2).



4. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe bracket bolts (1) and remove the bracket (2).



5. Loosen the fuel tank vent hose clamp (3) and disconnect the hose from the fuel tank.
6. Remove the fuel tank vent hose from the vehicle.

1. Install the fuel tank vent hose to the vehicle.



2. Install the fuel tank vent hose clamp (3).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




3. Install the fuel tank filler pipe bracket bolts (1) and bracket (2). Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).



4. Install the fuel filler pipe protector (2) and nuts (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (88 lb in).
5. Install the left rear wheelhouse liner panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
6. Install the left rear wheel and tyre. Refer to Tyre and Wheel Removal and Installation .
