Intake Camshaft Installation

Note: Take extreme care to prevent any scratches or damage to the camshafts.

1. Install the intake camshaft (3).
2. Install the timing chain. Refer to Camshaft Timing Chain Installation .

Note: Check and confirm the camshaft cap bearing surface. If some damages or dusts, it is needed to clean or replace.

3. Install the intake camshaft caps (2) on the original position.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

4. Install the intake camshaft cap bolts (1).

Tighten

•	Tighten the intake camshaft cap bolt (M8 x 1.25) to 25 N·m (18.4 lb ft).

•	Tighten the intake camshaft cap bolt (M6 x 1.0) to 10 N·m (88.5 lb in).
