Camshaft Timing Chain Removal

EN-49073 Timing Chain Tensioner Pin

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

1. Remove the timing chain front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Removal .



2. Remove the exhaust camshaft (1). Refer to Exhaust Camshaft Removal
3. Insert the EN-49073 timing chain tensioner pin into the timing chain tensioner hole.
4. Remove the timing chain guide retaining bolts (2).
5. Remove the timing chain guide (3).
6. Remove the timing chain (4).
