Preliminary Procedures

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
2. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .

Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Remove the fuel feed pipes from the fuel rail, fuel injectors, and fuel pump.
2. Install EN-50434 dust caps onto the fuel rail ports to avoid fuel rail contamination.
3. Upon completion of the repair, perform the fuel system priming procedure. Refer to Fuel System Priming .

Tighten
27 N·m (20 lb ft)
