Crankshaft and Bearing Cleaning and Inspection

1. Clean the lower crankcase (bed plate) sealing surface.
2. Clean the engine block sealing surface.
3. Clean the lower crankcase (bed plate) tightening bolts.
4. Clean the lower crankcase (bed plate) bolt holes.

1. Inspect the crankshaft end play with the crankshaft bearing installed.
2. Check the permissible crankshaft end play.
