Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement
Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Loosen the stabiliser shaft clamp bolts.
Note: When disconnecting the stabiliser link, hold the link with a spanner to prevent turning.
- Remove the stabiliser link to stabiliser shaft nut.
Note: When disconnecting the stabiliser link, hold the link with a spanner to prevent turning.
- Remove the stabilizer link to lower control arm nut.
- Remove the stabiliser link from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
- Position the stabiliser link through the lower control arm.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
Note: When connecting the stabiliser link, hold the link with a spanner to prevent turning.
- Install the stabiliser link to control arm nut and tighten to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
- Install the stabiliser link to stabiliser shaft nut and tighten to 115 N·m (85 lb ft).
- Tighten the stabiliser shaft clamp bolts and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
- Lower the vehicle.
