Fog Lamp Aligning

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front wheelhouse liners. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .
  2. Reinstall the front tyres.
  3. Ensure the vehicle is completely assembled and stop all work on the vehicle that could affect the ride height of the vehicle.
  4. Close all doors and verify that the luggage compartment is empty.
  5. Stabilise the suspension.
  6. Ensure the fuel level is full.
  7. Ensure the tyres are inflated to proper specification, see the tyre placard, inside edge of the driver door.
  8. Ensure that a driver or a similar weight, approximately 75 kg (165 lbs), is in the driver seat.
  9. Position the vehicle a level surface 7.6 m (25 ft) away from the target screen.
  10. Measure from the centre of the fog lamp to the ground line. Using this measurement, mark the horizontal centreline of the fog lamp line on the target screen directly in front of the vehicle.

Fog Lamp Adjuster Screw

Note: 

   • Horizontal aim is not adjustable on this vehicle.
   • Minimal turning of the adjuster screw will achieve maximum adjustment results on the screen.

Procedure

  1. Turn on the fog lamps.
  2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, vertical aiming will be accomplished by turning the adjuster screw located at the backside of the fog lamp, from the inner side of the lower bumper fascia.
  3. The top of the fog lamp beam image on the target screen should be 102 mm (4 in) below the centre of the fog lamp lens height.
  4. Turn off the fog lamps after adjustment has been achieved.
