Preliminary Procedure

1. Remove the front suspension frame skid plate. Refer to Drivetrain and Front Suspension Frame Skid Plate Replacement .
2. Disconnect the heated oxygen sensor 2. Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Sensor 2 .

Catalytic Converter Nut (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
17 N·m (13 lb ft)

Exhaust Gasket

Exhaust Silencer Nut (Qty: 2)

Tighten
17 N·m (13 lb ft)

Exhaust Front Pipe

Procedure

1. Support the exhaust muffler with a jack.
2. Clean all sealing surfaces.
3. Replace with NEW nuts and gaskets.
