Exhaust Pressure Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure

  1. Open the bonnet.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  4. Disconnect the exhaust pressure sensor wiring harness plug (3).
  5. Remove the exhaust pressure sensor nut (1).
  6. Remove the exhaust pressure sensor (2).
  7. Unclip the exhaust pressure sensor pipe (4) from the retainer (5).
  8. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  9. Open the front compartment insulator service opening.

  11. Remove the exhaust pressure sensor hose clamp (3).
  12. Remove the exhaust pressure sensor hose (2) from the exhaust pressure sensor connector (4).
  13. Unclip the exhaust pressure pipe (2) from the retainer (1).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the exhaust pressure sensor hose clamp (3).
  2. Install the exhaust pressure sensor hose (2) to the exhaust pressure sensor connector (4).
  3. Clip the exhaust pressure pipe (2) to the retainer (1).
  4. Close the front compartment service opening.
  5. Lower the vehicle.

  7. Clip the exhaust pressure sensor pipe (4) to the retainer (5).
  8. Install the exhaust pressure sensor (2).
  9. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  10. Install the exhaust pressure sensor nut (1) and tighten to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
  11. Connect the exhaust pressure sensor wiring harness plug (3).
  12. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  13. After the replacement of exhaust pressure sensor, use a scan tool to perform the appropriate reset function. Refer to Engine Control Module Programming and Setup .
  14. Close the bonnet.
