Preliminary Procedures

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
2. Remove the water inlet pipe. Refer to Water Inlet Replacement

Inspect the seal for damage, replace as necessary.

Procedure

Push in on the thermostat tabs (1) to unclip the thermostat from the water inlet pipe (3), and rotate clockwise.
