Danger: Before working on any high- voltage system, be sure to wear the following Personal Protection Equipment: • Safety glasses with appropriate side shields when within 50 feet of the vehicle, either indoors or outdoors • Certified and up-to-date Class "0" Insulation gloves rated at 1,000 V with leather protectors - Visually and functionally inspect the gloves before use. - Wear the Insulation gloves at all times when working with the high- voltage battery assembly, whether the system is energised or not.
Caution: Refer to Test Probe Caution in the Preface section.
The following procedure measures the voltage at a selected point in a circuit.
• | Vehicle power mode to Vehicle in Service Mode or Vehicle On. |
• | Turn ON the circuit and/or system with a scan tool in Output Controls. |
• | Turn ON the switch for the circuit and/or system being tested. |
