Fuel Injection Pump Replacement

EN-6015 Fuel Line Plug Kit
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .
Removal Procedure
- Remove the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
- Remove the fuel pump drive pulley. Refer to Fuel Injection Pump Drive Pulley Removal .
- Remove the fuel feed hose. Refer to Fuel Hose Replacement - Fuel Injection Pump to Fuel Feed Block .
- Remove the hose clamp (1).
- Remove the hose (3) from the fuel injection pump.
- Install the EN-6015 plug to seal the hose and the fuel injection pump.
- Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Inlet Manifold Replacement .
- Remove the 3 fuel pump bolts (2).
- Remove the fuel pump (1).
Installation Procedure
Note: Do not blow air with an air gun onto injection pump. If contaminated, wipe clean with an oil paper.
- Install the fuel pump (1).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.
- Install the 3 fuel pump bolts (2) and tighten to 30 N·m (23 lb ft).
- Install the inlet manifold. Refer to Inlet Manifold Replacement .
- Remove the EN-6015 plug.
- Install the hose to the fuel injection pump (3).
- Install the hose clamp (1).
- Install the fuel feed hose. Refer to Fuel Hose Replacement - Fuel Injection Pump to Fuel Feed Block .
- Install the fuel pump drive pulley. Refer to Fuel Injection Pump Drive Pulley Installation .
- Install the timing belt. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement .
