Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Adapter Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Open the bonnet.
  2. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation pipe. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Replacement .
  3. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation valve. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement .

  4. Remove the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve adapter bolts (1).
  5. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation valve adapter (2).
  6. Remove the exhaust gas recirculation valve adapter gasket (3).

Installation Procedure

    2189019
  1. Install the new exhaust gas recirculation valve adapter gasket (3).
  2. Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve adapter (2).

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the 2 exhaust gas recirculation valve adapter bolts (1) and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
  4. Install the exhaust gas recirculation valve. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement .
  5. Install the exhaust gas recirculation pipe. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Pipe Replacement .
  6. Close the bonnet.
