Knock Sensor Replacement

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Disconnect the knock sensor wiring harness plug.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
4. Remove the starter. Refer to  Starter Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LNP with MT → 2.0L Diesel LNP with AT → 1.4L LDD, LUH, and LUJ → 1.6L LDE, LXV, 1.8L 2H0, and LUW → 1.6L LXT,L2W → 2.0L Diesel LLW



5. Remove the knock sensor bolt (1).
6. Remove the knock sensor (2).

1. Install the knock sensor (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the knock sensor bolt (1) and tighten to 20 N·m (15 lb ft).
3. Install the starter. Refer to  Starter Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LNP with MT → 2.0L Diesel LNP with AT → 1.4L LDD, LUH, and LUJ → 1.6L LDE, LXV, 1.8L 2H0, and LUW → 1.6L LXT,L2W → 2.0L Diesel LLW
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Connect the knock sensor wiring harness plug.
6. Close the bonnet.
