Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor and Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
3. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
4. Remove the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
5. Remove the air conditioning compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement : LNP → LUJ → LXT, L2W → LDE, LFH, LLU, LXV, and 2H0 → LLW .




Note: Mark the position from the bolts, because of different length.

6. Remove the 4 air conditioning compressor and power steering pump bracket bolts (2).
7. Remove the air conditioning compressor and power steering pump bracket (1).

1. Install the air conditioning compressor and power steering pump bracket (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the 4 air-conditioning compressor and power-steering pump bracket bolts (2) and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
3. Install the the air-conditioning compressor. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement : LNP → LUJ → LXT, L2W → LDE, LFH, LLU, LXV, and 2H0 → LLW .
4. Install the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement .
5. Install the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
6. Connect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
7. Close the bonnet.
