Stabiliser Shaft Replacement

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

Note: The rear of the front suspension frame most be lowered to allow access to the stabilizer shaft mounting hardware.

2. Lower the front suspension frame. Refer to Frame Replacement .



3. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator bracket bolts.
4. Remove the stabilizer shaft assembly from the frame.
5. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets.
6. Remove the stabilizer shaft insulators.

1. Install the stabilizer shaft insulators to the stabilizer shaft.
2. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator brackets.
3. Install the stabilizer shaft assembly to the frame.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

4. Install the stabilizer shaft insulator bracket bolts and tighten to 50 N·m (37 lb ft).
5. Install the front suspension frame. Refer to Frame Replacement .
6. Lower the vehicle.
