Shock Absorber Replacement

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the rear tyre and wheel assembly. Refer to Tyre and Wheel Removal and Installation .



3. Remove the lower shock bolt.



4. Remove the upper shock bolt.
5. Remove the shock from the vehicle.

1. Position the shock to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




2. Install the upper shock bolt and tighten to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).



3. Install the lower shock bolt and tighten to 110 N·m (81 lb ft).
4. Install the rear tyre and wheel assembly. Refer to Tyre and Wheel Removal and Installation .
5. Lower the vehicle.
