5 V Reference Voltage | P0192, P0193, P0340, P0345, P0365, P0390, P0506, P0641, P2227 | P0192 | P0193, P0641, P2227, P2229 | P0191 |
Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Signal | P0192 | P0192, P0193 | P0193 | P0191 |
Low Reference | - | P0193 | P0193 | P0191 |
The fuel rail pressure sensor detects fuel pressure within the fuel rail. The engine control module (ECM) provides a 5 V reference voltage on the 5 V reference circuit and ground on the reference ground circuit. The ECM receives a varying signal voltage on the signal circuit. The ECM monitors the voltage on the fuel rail pressure sensor circuits. When the fuel pressure is high, the signal voltage is high. When the fuel pressure is low, the signal voltage is low.
• | The engine is running. |
• | The ignition voltage is between 11-18 V. |
• | The DTCs run continuously within the enabling conditions. |
The ECM detects that the fuel rail pressure sensor signal voltage is low.
The ECM detects that the fuel rail pressure sensor signal voltage is high.
• | DTCs P0192 and P0193 are Type A DTCs. |
• | A message centre or an indicator may display Reduced Engine Power. |
DTCs P0192 and P0193 are Type A DTCs.

⇒ | If a DTC is set, refer to DTC P0641, P0651, P0697, or P06A3 . |
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the low reference circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K20 ECM. |
⇒ | If less than the specified range, test the 5 V reference circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K20 ECM. |
⇒ | If greater than the specified range, test the 5 V reference circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K20 ECM. |
⇒ | If greater than the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K20 ECM. |
⇒ | If less than the specified value, test the signal circuit for an open circuit/high resistance or a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K20 ECM. |
