Symptoms - Suspension General Diagnosis

Important: Review the system descriptions in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Noise Diagnosis - Front Suspension and to Noise Diagnosis - Rear Suspension .

Visual/Physical Inspection

  1. Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the suspension system.
  2. Inspect the easily accessible or visible suspension components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.
  3. Verify the tires are the proper size. Refer to Tyre and Wheel Specifications .
  4. If the tires are not the proper size, replace the tires. Refer to Tyre Dismounting and Mounting .

  5. Measure the tire pressure. Adjust the tire pressure if necessary. Refer to Tyre and Wheel Specifications .

Intermittent Conditions

Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Diagnostic Starting Point - Vehicle .
