Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the tailgate trim panel. Refer to Tailgate Trim Panel Replacement : Long Body  → Short Body .
2. Disconnect the tailgate harness electrical connector from the rear window wiper motor.
3. Remove the rear window wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement : Long Body .

Rear Window Wiper Motor Bolt (Qty: 3)

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)

Rear Window Wiper Motor

Procedure

1. Ensure the wiper motor pivot shaft grommet is not damaged upon removal or installation of the NEW rear window wiper motor.
2. Ensure the rear window wiper motor is in the PARK position.
3. With the ignition key ON, engine OFF, electrically PARK the rear window wiper motor pivot shaft.
4. Install the rear window wiper arm. Refer to Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement : Long Body .
