Preliminary Procedures

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle as necessary. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
3. Remove the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement : Diesel  → V6  → LE5 .
4. Remove the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement : Diesel  → V6  → LE5 .
5. Reposition the fan shroud. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement .

22 N·m (16 lb ft)
