Preliminary Procedure

Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement : Long Body  → Short Body .

Front Bumper Fascia Skid Plate Screw (Qty: 6)

Caution : Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Front Bumper Fascia Skid Plate Bolt (Qty: 4)

Tighten
2 N·m (18 lb in)

Procedure

1. Carefully push a small nylon wedge between the fascia and the fascia skid plate. Insert a small flat-bladed tool into the fascia slot and depress the snaps one at a time and pull on the fascia skid plate at the same time to gradually remove the fascia skid plate from the fascia.
2. Disconnect the electrical harness from the skid plate
