Fuel Tank Filler Hose Replacement

Warning: Do not allow smoking or the use of naked flames in the area where work on the fuel or EVAP system is taking place. Anytime work is being done on the fuel system, disconnect the negative battery cable, except for those tests where battery voltage is required.

1. Drain the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Draining .
2. Remove the left rear wheel and tyre. Refer to Tyre and Wheel Removal and Installation .
3. Remove the left rear wheelhouse liner panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .



4. Remove the fuel tank filler pipe bracket bolts (1) and remove the bracket (2).



5. Loosen the upper fuel tank filler hose clamp (1).



6. Loosen the lower fuel tank filler hose clamp (1).
7. Remove the fuel filler hose from the vehicle.

1. Install the fuel filler hose to the vehicle.



2. Install the upper fuel tank filler hose clamp (1).



3. Install the lower fuel tank filler hose clamp (1).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.




4. Install the fuel tank filler pipe bracket bolts (1) and bracket (2). Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (88 lb in).
5. Install the left rear wheelhouse liner panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
6. Install the left rear wheel and tyre. Refer to Tyre and Wheel Removal and Installation .
