Camshaft Cover Installation

Note: 

   • Ensure that the camshaft cover and cylinder head sealing surface is clear of oil, grease and old sealant material.
   • Do not coat sealant on the camshaft cover and cylinder head bolt holes, it could damage the camshaft cover bolt threads or the cylinder head.

  1. Apply sealant (Three-Bond, 12378521) on the sealant line (1).

  2. Install the camshaft cover (2) and gasket (3).

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the camshaft cover mounting bolts (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the camshaft cover mounting bolts to 10 N·m (88.5 lb in).

  4. Install the fuel injector. Refer to Fuel Injector Installation .
  5. Install the fuel injection fuel feed pipe . Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Installation .
  6. Install the fuel injection fuel return hose . Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Return Hose Installation .
  7. Connect the PCV line.
