Turbocharger Removal

  1. Remove the turbocharger heat shield. Refer to Turbocharger Heat Shield Removal .
  2. Remove the DPF. Refer to Exhaust Particulate Filter Removal .
  3. Remove the turbocharger coolant return pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Coolant Return Pipe Removal .
  4. Remove the turbocharger coolant feed pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Coolant Feed Pipe Removal .
  5. Remove the turbocharger oil feed pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Oil Feed Pipe Removal .
  6. Remove the turbocharger oil return pipe. Refer to Turbocharger Oil Return Pipe Removal .

  7. Remove the exhaust temperature sensor (1). Refer to Exhaust Temperature Sensor Replacement - Position 1 .

  8. Disconnect the turbocharger vacuum line.
  9. Remove the turbocharger upper retaining nuts (1).
  10. Remove the turbocharger lower retaining nuts (2).
  11. Remove the turbocharger (3) and gasket (4).
