Remove the flywheel or flex plate. Refer to Engine Flywheel Replacement or Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Replacement .

Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal

Procedure

1. Remove the seal by carefully prying the seal out using EN-45000 Seal Remover .
2. Inspect the crankshaft sealing surface for nicks, burrs and scratches. Replace as necessary.
3. Install the seal using EN-48251 Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installer until fully seated.
4. Transfer components as necessary.
