Preliminary Procedure

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the engine shield. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
3. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .

Oil Level Sensor

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Place a drain pan under the oil level sensor.
2. Disconnect electrical connectors.
3. Refill with engine oil when completed.
4. Transfer part as necessary.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)
