Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
3. Remove the engine shield from the under body of the vehicle. Refer to Engine Shield Replacement .
4. Support the transmission using a suitable jack.
