Shift Control Lever Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the front floor console extension panel. Refer to Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement : Short Body  → Long Body .

  2. Unlock shift lever and selector lever cable adjust locks (2).
  3. Disconnect the shift lever and selector lever cable retainers (1) from the transmission control lever housing.
  4. Remove the shift lever and selector lever cable (3) out of transmission control lever housing.

  5. Remove the four transmission control lever bolts (1).
  6. Remove the transmission control lever (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transmission control lever (2).
  2. Install the four transmission control lever bolts (1) and tighten to8 Nm (71 lb in).

  3. Slide shift lever and selector lever cable into shift lever and selector lever cable adjust locks (2).
  4. Install the shift lever and selector lever cable retainers (1) into transmission control lever housing.
  5. Adjust shift lever and selector lever cable. Refer to Manual Transmission Shift Lever Cable Adjustment
  6. Install the front floor console extension panel. Refer to Front Floor Console Extension Panel Replacement : Short Body → Long Body
