Exhaust System Replacement - 2.0L Diesel LLW

CH-6614 Chain-Type Pipe Cutter

For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools .

Warning: Refer to Exhaust Service Warning in the Preface section.

Warning: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Warning in the Preface section.

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .



2. Cut the exhaust rear silencer (2) with CH-6614 cutter (1).



3. Remove the exhaust rear silencer (3) from the exhaust rear silencer hanger insulator (1, 2).
4. Remove the exhaust flex pipe. Refer to Exhaust Flexible Pipe Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LLW .
5. Remove the exhaust particulate filter. Refer to Exhaust Particulate Filter Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LNP → 1.7L Diesel LPL and LPV → 2.0L Diesel LLW .
6. Remove all hanger insulators from the exhaust pipe and underbody.

1. Install all hanger insulators at the exhaust pipe and underbody.
2. Install the exhaust particulate filter. Refer to Exhaust Particulate Filter Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LNP → 1.7L Diesel LPL and LPV → 2.0L Diesel LLW .
3. Install the exhaust flex pipe. Refer to Exhaust Flexible Pipe Replacement : 2.0L Diesel LLW .



4. Install the exhaust rear silencer (3) at the exhaust rear silencer hanger insulator (2, 4).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

5. Install the exhaust pipe clamp (1) and tighten to 20 N·m(15 lb ft).
