Battery Replacement

Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.




1. Disconnect the battery positive and negative cable. Refer to Battery Positive and Negative Cable Replacement : LNQ  → LF1  → LE5 .
2. Loosen the nuts that fasten the battery hold-down bar bracket.



3. Remove the battery hold-down bar bracket with the nuts attached.
4. Remove the battery from the battery tray.

1. Install the battery.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

2. Install the battery hold-down bar bracket and tighten retaining nuts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
3. Connect the battery positive and negative cable. Refer to Battery Positive and Negative Cable Replacement : LNQ  → LF1  → LE5 .
