Exhaust Camshaft Installation

Note: Take extreme care to prevent any scratches or damage to the camshafts.

1. Install the exhaust camshaft (3).

Note: Check and confirm the camshaft cap bearing surface. If some damages or dusts, it is needed to clean or replace.

2. Install the exhaust camshaft caps (2) in the original position.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

3. Install the exhaust camshaft cap bolts (1).

Tighten

•	Tighten the exhaust camshaft cap bolt (M8 x 1.25) to 25 N·m (18.4 lb ft).

•	Tighten the exhaust camshaft cap bolt (M6 x 1.0) to 10 N·m (88.5 lb in).

4. Install the camshaft guide. Refer to Support Fuel Pump and Vacuum Pump Cap Installation .
5. Install the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Installation .
