Cylinder Head and Gasket Removal

1. Remove the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Removal .
2. Remove the camshaft guide. Refer to Support Fuel Pump and Vacuum Pump Cap Removal .
3. Remove the engine coolant outlet adapter. Refer to Engine Water Outlet Adaptor Removal .
4. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Removal .
5. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Removal .
6. Remove the timing chain front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Removal .
7. Remove the timing chain. Refer to Camshaft Timing Chain Removal .
8. Remove the camshaft. Refer to Camshaft Cover Removal and Intake Camshaft Removal .



9. Remove the cylinder head mounting bolts (1).
10. Remove the cylinder head (2) and gasket (3).
