Preliminary Procedures

1. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief .
2. Remove the engine sight shield. Refer to Engine Sight Shield Replacement .
3. Remove the battery. Refer to Battery Replacement .
4. Remove the engine control module and bracket. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement .
5. Disconnect the fuel injection return hose from the fuel injection pump. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Return Hose Replacement .
6. Disconnect the fuel injection high pressure feed pipe from the fuel injection pump. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement .
7. Disconnect the fuel feed front pipe from the fuel injection pump. Refer to Fuel Feed Front Pipe Replacement .
8. Disconnect the fuel return front pipe from the fuel injection pump. Refer to Fuel Return Front Pipe Replacement .

Procedure

1. Disconnect the electrical connector.
2. Upon completion of the repair, perform the fuel system priming procedure. Refer to Fuel System Priming .
